Abstract:To realize the situation of food pollution by Plumbum and Cadmium in Zhejing,Plumbum content in 1836 food samples and Cadmium content in 1757 food samples were determined during 2004. The food samples included 14 kinds of foods and were collected from 9 monitoring points of the province. The results showed that the Plumbum content in foods ranged from 0.005 to 13.8 mg/kg. The Plumbum content in 1696 (92.6%) food samples accorded with the national standard,and in 1 498 (91.45%) food samples accorded with the CAC standard. Higher Plumbum contents were found in tea,preserved egg,conch and pork. The average content was 1.64,0.98,0.39 and 0.34 mg/kg respectively. Cadmium content in food samples ranged from 0.001 to 17.41 mg/kg. The Cadmium content in 1464 (88.0%) food samples accorded with the national standard and in 1468 (91.5%) food samples accorded with the CAC standard. The higher Cadmium content were found in pig kidney, conch and sea fish. The average content was 1.56,1.01, 0.59 and 0.49 mg/kg respectively. It was concluded that tea, preserved egg and pork were considerably polluted by Plumbum and sea foods and kidney of pig by Cadmium in Zhejiang during 2004.
