Objective To reduce the residues of veterinary drugs and ensure the safety of animal derived food. Method Analyzing main issues on the supervision of veterinary drugs used in our country. Results Correspondingly solutions and measures were proposed aiming at the issues on the imperfection of laws, regulations and standards, weakness of law enforcement, lag of technical administration and low quality of employees, etc. Conclusion Comparing with other livestock developed countries, there are still some defects in the fields of supervision and use of veterinary drugs in our country，and the administration of them should be enhanced further.
