Abstract:Objective To establish a HPLC method for the determination of rhein, aloeemodin, 1, 8- dihydroxyanthraquinone, emodin, chrysophanol and physcion in health food1Method A HPLC with Symmetry@ C18 column (250mm ×416mm, 5μm) , amixture of CH3OH + 0.1% H3 PO4 (80 + 20) asmobile phase and a UV detector at 254 nm was used. Results The linearity for rhein, aloeemodin, 1, 8-dihydroxyanthraquinone, emodin, chrysophanol, physcion was good in the ranges of 0.014-0.280, 0.014-0.280, 0.012 6-0.025 2, 0.015 6-0.104, 0.025-0.500 and 0.025-0.500μg/ml respectively; the recovery of those was 91.5% , 90.2% , 85.3% , 105.3% , 87.7% and 102.1% respectively; and the RSD of those was 6.21% , 5.82% , 7.11% , 8.50% , 7.35% and 9.42% respectively1Conclusion The method is simp le, accurate and rep roducible, and could be used for the quality control of rhubarb anthraquinones in health food.
