Abstract:Objective To investigate the food and nutrition intake status of Shandong residents as well as its changing trend. Method The stratified cluster random sampling method, weighing method and the 24-hour dietary intake recall method were used in the three-consecutive-day dietary survey. The data was analyzed by SPSS 11.5. Results The cereals intake in urban was 68.6 g less than that in rural areas, and the animal food intake in urban was 19.7 g greater than that in rural areas. The intake of energy, protein, fat, carbohydrate, vitamin C and sodium in the urban were 273.2 kcal, 3.1 g, 1.9 g, 60 g, 8.1 mg and 463.6 mg lower than that in rural. Cereal was still the main food of Shandong residents. Conclusion The dietary pattern of Shandong residents is not balanced, more nutritional education should be done to guide reasonable dietary consumption.
