Objective To enhance the levels on health supervision for food containers and packaging materials in China. Method The development histories of hygienic standards and health supervision for food containers and packaging materials in Chinae were looked back, and the current conditions of health supervision for food containers and packaging materials according to laws and hygienic standards were analyzed, and comparied with those of USA and EU. Results The results showed that a lot of shortages on law, standard, and health supervision of food containers and packaging materials in China were found. Conclusion Aiming at the shortages, strengthen lawmaking, perfected new product approval, revised hygienic standard, and strengthen supervision should be revised.
