A food poisoning case due to eating the food of school canteen in Zhabei District,Shanghai was reported.Among the 1.223 students who had had a common dining history,116(9.48%)had poisoning symptoms including stomachache,diarrhea and fever.Based on results from epidemic survey,clinical analysis and laboratory tests showed that it was a bacterial food poisoning case caused by enteroinvasive E. coil(EIEC)which polluted the foods because of the pathogen carriers who work in the canteen.
