To improve the management of the schools' mess hall, the municipal government has supervised the mess halls of the 123 schools in this city since Sept. 2003 and given evaluation scores to each school depending on the final results. Judging from the scores, 9 were graded as good, 86 average, and 28 bad. The situation was not to be desired. Judging from the key items, all the schools' situations were bad. Suggestions were given on the content of assessment and operation of the graded management.
