    Abstract:

Pre-packaged complementary foods for infants and young children are an important part of their diet. The standards of international organizations, some developed countries, and China for infant and young child complementary foods are briefly introduced in this article. Based on investigations and research, the major problems in “National food safety standard Cereal supplementary foods for infants and young children” (GB 10769—2010) and “National food safety standard Canned supplementary foods for infants and young children” (GB 10770—2010) were analyzed, and a preliminary standard revision direction was explored to provide a reference for the revision of national food safety standards for infant and young child complementary food.
