    Abstract:

    To put forward suggestions for improvement for the national food safety standard on honey through analyzing domestic and international honey standards.Methods Comparison of national and international honey standards and analysis on the sample test data were used to discuss the key indicators of current national safety standard. Results The safety standard on honey in China was in accordance with the international standards, however certain requirements need to be updated according to actual situation.Conclusion The moisture content and indicative microorganism limit were suggested to amend based on test data.
