    Abstract:

    As one of the stakeholders for food safety risk communication, media reports on food safety are often far away from scientific criteria, which result in communication difficulties. Based on content analysis of 125food-related investigative reports of CCTV Weekly Quality Report, this paper revealed how news value bias may affect expert-novice cognitive gap on risk issues.
