Objective To evaluate the safety of apigenin,so as to provide scientific support for the reasonable use and development of apigenin.Methods According to the procedure and methods in the Food Toxicological Safety Evaluation,a series of toxicological studies on the ingestion of apigenin were conducted,including acute toxicity,genetic toxicity as well as sub-chronic toxicity experiments.Results For the acute toxicity,the maximum tolerated dose(MTD) was higher than 8 g/kg BW.No apigenin-related gene..
