    Abstract:

    To evaluate an oral liquor claimed to have benefit to iron deficiency anaemia patients,rats were fed with iron\|deficient diet with or without the liquor and their hematological indexes were examined.The body weight,Hb,Fe,Fe\|protein,HCT,MCV,MCH and MCHC in rats of every experimental group increased significantly as compared with the control group ( P<0\^05,P<0 01 ).The level of FEP in rats of experimental groups was lower than those of the control group ( P<0\^05,P<0\^01) .It is concluded that the liquor (wuji yangxue koufuye) has the effect of alleviating the anaemia caused by iron deficiency.
