    Abstract:

    The article introduces the regulations and standards on food additives among the United States, Canada, European Union, Australia, Japan, China and Codex Alimentarius Commission, especially compares the range of control, evaluation requirements, provision on use and labeling. Some recommendations and suggestions on how to strengthen the control of food additives and to adopt international standards were made at the end.
